Umeda - Los Angeles

Umeda is hands down the best restaurant in la. bazaar by jose andres has been my favorite for years, with its unique and inventive takes classic Spanish cuisine. umeda makes the same with Japanese food. nothing is normal. the aromas and textures are new and extraordinary each time, and the fresh is incomparable. every time we experience umeda, I wonder what a precious stone it is. unmarried, but attentive service, unlimited and peaceful design and decor. I could eat here every day and still find new things to try instead of relying on just one favorite dish or two.

Cuisine is creative beyond sushi restaurant. food is fresh. service is great. highly request

Best Japanese meal Sushi, Wappa, appetizers i have had in LA. No joke and i am not easy to please. I have lived 6 blocks from this place since they opened. I am kcking myself for not trying it sooner.

I had black cod crab crab rice cake mixed sashimi fried oyster lettuce yellowtail sushi The sashimi was good. The cod and crab rice cake were decent but comparable to other cheaper restaurants. The oyster is not fresh. Yellowtail was mediocre. It is like 200 with nothing great here.
