The guacamole was top quality and we had to get refill on chips. All this with a Diet Coke.I’d definitely come back and try their other menu items. I highly recommend this spot but be aware that parking is very limited to the street and limited on site parking.
We enjoyed our meal very much. Especially Javier was very kind and helped us with our order when he saw we were tourists.Food: 5/5
The food had no seasoning, and the service was alright not necessarily good and I brought my service dog and when we went in they asked for a certificate which I was never asked that before. Overall I wouldn't recommend the place and the ambiance was dead.
The female server was too busy looking at someone's man to remember my order, and the food was horrible. Shrimp was over cooked, fries burnt crispy and the rice tasted like it wasn't fresh and they had just stuck it in a microwave. Had split the torta with a friend and it was eh! They most definitely lost their touch. With such a tight parking structure, I'd recommend you pass and head over to a legit restaurant.
I love to hang out in Lincoln Heights after medical consults Keck-USC. Wendy's Tortas is a 5 minute drive from my appointments it's a little slice of ELA traditional warmth delicious dishes. There's also parking behind restaurant. What's good here? The breakfast burrito is def: mine with huevos revueltos, chorizo, queso, salsa verde, frijoles. There are fresh tostadas; crispy crunchy. Wendy's a local treasure. Melissa, Alfredo's (owner) daughter, acts as hostess, server, manager. She lights up the room with her smile. There's always a gaggle of DWP, LAPD, Sheriff's Dept, construction workers ordering massive, coronary defying, burritos to go. You must try tortas a la plancha: choice of filling: chicken, carne asada, carne al pastor, pork loin. One torta is two days of snacking. It's a tremendous structure of a bollito--the great bread--chopped iceberg, avocado, chunks of grilled meat. After a night of clubbing, 3 hours sleep, you'll go here for breakfast: burrito mojado, perhaps a Bohemia or a fantastic michelada, maybe awesome chilaquiles. Yes. These treats will get ya head straight to meet your new day. I vector here to get my sense of community.
