Since Wolfgang Puck exited from the cuisine and curation of the menu it's safe to say that the food is no longer even close to being worth it. A year or so ago we all would wait for an occasion to spend the extra money to enjoy the food. Now, the extremely overpriced menu is no where near worth anyone's time out or money. The bolognese I had no meat or sauce sufficient enough to enjoy, and my poor friend said he could enjoy a better Ribeye at Outback Steakhouse. The only reason this review is 2 stars instead of 1 is for the fantastic bartender that always helps us out, and the speedy valet staff that take care of our vehicles on every visit. Our enjoyable tradition has sadly come to a close and we will not be dining/staying at the Hotel Bel Air again.
We were handled with the utmost respect and care. The food was divine!! Was the perfect birthday treat!!
Food and service are absolute trash. Despicable. A disgrace to the dorchester collection name.Go anywhere else for dinner. The hotel may be beautiful but this restaurant is anything but.I actually believe that the staff and food could not be any worse. It is as if they try to mess everything up.Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. At least, until November — even the hotel is fed up with this restaurant and is replacing it.
In all my years visiting LA, I'd never been to the Hotel Bel Air. It was simply stunning. A real oasis in the middle of Los Angeles. The restaurant was terrific, and, the Lobster Caico E Pepe was wonderful. Really a must hit for a special occasion.
I love the vibe and environment of this hotel and it’s venues. I’ve had brunch at the restaurant and also dinner at the piano bar many times. The drinks are of good size and the food is delicious. The servers and staff are always super attentive. The best part, of course, are the piano players, which create the perfect scene for a wonderful night.
