Disappointing food and passive aggressive reception to feed back on food When feds back given a brash and standoffish response to comments about a disappointing meal. Would not recommend

Food OK but overpriced. The experience was spoilt by the general poor service attitude none of the staff including the owner have any idea of how to treat customers they obviously have no interest in you returning. This echoes previous reviews and my own experience over several visits over several years (I keep hoping it will improve! . Go there only if you have no choice

The most embarrassing experience I have had at a restaurant in all my years of eating out (this on our second visit in 2 days the first was great coincidentally, the offending owner/manager wasn't there). Through a simple misunderstanding of some sort, we arrived half an hour after the reservation time in their calendar (thinking we were on time). The owner/manager (I believe) who was generally a very surly and abrupt man, approached us as we entered the seating area and angrily, loudly reprimanded us for being 30 minutes late. This was in earshot of probably all the diners in the outside area so many heads were turned and conversations stopped. He left us with no choice really it would have been rather awkward to stay, so we turned around and walked off to go and have a lovely evening at a village restaurant nearby. Had that not happened we would have been back at least three more times while on holiday at the nearby HPB resort. A real shame as our first experience was really good both the food and the service (from the other staff).

We ate here 5 times during our recent visit to Alfaix. The first time as a result of our taxis not turning up when we had planned to eat in Mojacar. Fortunately La Venta could squeeze us in at the moments notice. This restaurant made our holiday, great friendly service by Inga and her team and a great menu to suit all of the family’s needs. Food and drinks excellent and well priced. Can’t praise it enough. Hope to return

Found adjacent to the neighbouring HPB site, at first glance, the restaurant looks to be offering a menu that doesn’t quite suit its location. Rather than cheap eats, the restaurant offers a varied menu with accompanying daily specials at what I would call mid market pricing. In short we found it to be wonderful. All meals on each of the three occasions that we dined there were more than satisfactory and offered good value for money. The only criticism that one of our party offered though was that the pizza special was too processed-it was felt that the restaurant should stick to doing what they do best. That is the dishes on the main menu. Serving staff are friendly, but at first sight may appear to be a little stern. Get beyond that and they’re wonderful. We will most certainly return on our next visit to Alfaix.
