The value was also very good, with wines that aren't priced in the stratosphere, and also an easy to navigate kids menu. We really love this place.
First time there last night. We had the steak and the hamburger. The steak was wagyu! Very generous serving, totally delicious with the demi. The smoked corn purée...tasted more like mushroom. The actual mushrooms were the only thing I didn't like...desiccated and overly smoky for my taste. A veg on the plate would have been a nice addition. The hamburger was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The heirloom tomato and caramelized onions were the perfect toppers. Best hamburger we've had in a long, long time. The fries were hand cut, piping hot and perfectly salted. The strawberry shortcake? Yum! The rhubarb cream was incredible, and paired well with the tart berries and light, lovely biscuit. Service was attentive, but not annoyingly so. Since COVID, my friend I haven't gone to a single restaurant we'd want to return to. Until last night. We'll definitely be back! Unfortunately, only four tables were taken, which is worrisome for the future of this restaurant. We're fans!
We came here for brunch. What a delight! The service was impeccable, lovely outdoor dining and the food! We ordered the scones to share, I had a peach Bellini and my mom had a **** Mary. My kiddo ordered the standard breakfast of eggs, potatoes, bacon and toast, mom and hubby ordered bacon hash and I the loco moco.Scones were served warm with butter and preserves. Delish! Cocktails were fabulous, mom's **** Mary coming with an olive, pepper and a fresh piece of bacon! Everyone devoured their entrees. My loco moco was delicious, served with 2 grilled slices of spam and no overpowering gravy. A light sauce that added to the flavor. The hash looked yummy, as did my kiddos breakfast, which was served with two thick slices of toast fresh bread. We will be back to try dinner. Check this place out!
We had an open table reservation for 2. The restaurant is literally empty inside . They offer us high chairs. We say we want a regular table . The lady says all the tables are reserved . We ask “should we have specified that we want a regular table ? We didn't see that option in open table “. She says somehow the other guests who will arrive in the future , has picked out regular tables. Whatever bs I guess because we were non white , we got this “special” treatment
I will probably not go back to the restaurant because the experience was almost painful. However, I don't think the restaurant can do much about it. Everything was going fine as we ordered appetizers and started eating. Then a table of 8 already inebriated women came in at sat at the next table. They proceeded to shout and talk so loudly that we could not converse without yelling at our table. We did finish our dinner, but skipped any coffee or dessert to just get out of the noise. I also noticed that 3 other tables of 2 and 4 people who came in after us left even earlier. Our waiter was great, and the food OK (maybe it was great, but he noise ruined the taste). It would be nice if restaurants could find a way to seat large groups away from tables of 4 or less diners.
