The steamed veggies, rice, and the plantains (which compliment the saltiness so well) were perfect sides.I would say that this experience was a little bit gamey, so if that's not your thing I would suggest you try something else on their extensive menu. They provide generous meals and for affordable prices. The waiters were super attentive and explanatory. Highly recommended.
Im pretty disappointed with the experience . I wasn't aware this place was NOT a dine in restaurant. I sat down at a table with my son, at one the available tables to wait for my food inside. I received the food, returned back to the table, and continued to feed my son. Half way through my meal a gentleman came in and kicked me and my so out mid meal, he told me we need to eat outside, but there aren't any up tables or chairs set up. We just packed out meal and just ended up driving home midway through our meal. Also, we ate there at around 3:45pm, but tell me why at 8:45pm I get a notification that my card had been charged. Food was good, but overall a terrible experience.
Delicious vegan options, we got the Jerk Tofu Plate, a side of cornbread, and a side of Callaloo. Everything was seasoned really well, cooked perfectly, staff is friendly, and the food came out quickly. The hot mango sauce it came with was really good too, very spicy and very flavorful! The restaurant is very clean too, much cleaner than 99% of restaurants I've been to. Definitely would go back and would recommend to others.
I've been here several times and I get the Oxtail Plate every time. It comes with rice, cabbage, super delicious plantains, jerk chicken (yum), and heavenly oxtail stew. The stew is very clearly work and time intensive to make: the meat simply melts in your mouth. The seasoning compliments but does not overwhelm. Note: If you haven't had oxtail stew, it is supposed to be bony. The meat just falls off the bone! After the first time I had it, I was fairly sure they couldn't duplicate that oxtail. But it has been perfectly consistent each time I've gone. I would go way more often but it's not cheap for the plate. I don't mind paying the price, it's worth it. I just can't afford to go too often. I challenge you to give this place a try! Every dish is surprisingly delicious.
The food here is amazing! Chickens were tender and the seasoning had a spicy kick to it, but the veggies balanced out the spiciness. Rice was delish, too. Highly recommended
