I wanted to grab a bite to eat, but they closed early.

I was looking to grab a bite to eat, but they closed earlier than expected.

Our meal took an eternity to arrive, and when it finally did, the potatoes were overcooked and almost mushy. Underneath a tortilla smothered in red chili, there was undercooked bacon with the potatoes that was simply awful. My friend ordered the Huevos Rancheros, but he couldn't even finish it, and it wasn't a large portion to begin with.
