We arrived on time and hungry, with the option of choosing between the breakfast buffet or the lunch menu. My husband requested a coffee and I asked for a glass of water with my meal, which took an incredibly long time to be served. Frustrated, my husband ended up getting his own coffee and serving some of our group water as well. Some of the food was served cold, and some of us received our bills before even getting our meals. There was only one waitress serving our large group, and she was also attending to other customers in the restaurant. Overall, a very negative experience - I would not recommend this place at all. For the price we paid, it would be better to dine elsewhere.
After a pricey dinner at another restaurant the night before, we decided to explore Louiseville and found this hidden gem. The waitress, who spoke French, welcomed us warmly and did a fantastic job of translating some items on the menu that we didn't understand. The portion sizes were generous and the food was cooked perfectly. I ordered a Poutine with my club sandwich and couldn't finish it, despite having a big appetite. The dishes were all beautifully presented and the prices were very reasonable. Definitely a must-visit if you're in the area.
My husband and I are not big fans of fish, but I do enjoy eating fish and shellfish. On the other hand, he usually only likes shellfish or raw fish like sushi.
