Highly disappointed. I've never had a Gyro meal that 1) didn't come on a pita, or 2) didn't come with toppings. The chicken gyro entree was simply meat slices on top of a TON of rice, with only a 1.5 ounce side of tzatziki sauce on the side. No tomatoes, no onions, not even enough sauce to make it easier to eat- just dry, dry meat and rice. The stuffed grape leaves looked more promising, but they were WOODY. The grape leaves were so tough I didn't even finish them. The tzatziki was pretty awesome though, and is the sole reason for the 1 star on this review.
I love this restaurant! her pommes lamb gyro are my way to the court. And if you like hummus, you have to get her because it invites anyone who bought hummus from the water, blow. the Pita bread is also incredible, I could eat it honestly. they also have large baklava for dessert.
Loved my lamb gyro entree! Ganoush was fine. And baklava was also delicious! But my friend didn't cost his kidnapping of chicken rashes. Apparently it was too dry. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my meal, so full points to Alwatan.
This is a fantastic little place that has just worn away from Hikes Lane on Klondike. It's not awfully impressive from outside, but it's what counts inside. And what's in there is the best lamb gyros in town with a wide edge. Fresh, homemade Pita is full of crispy, tasty gros and dressed with exactly the right amount of tangy tsatziki sauce, salad and tomatoes. The combo, which contains one side of labor giants and a can of soda, is a great value at $9. It is a lot of good, healthy food, and you will finish your meal full and satisfied. There are much more on the menu than just the circles, and I was told by several people that there are some other real gems on the menu, but I just can't tear away from the circles. It's not to be missed.
