The tater tots were good, but they were your typical tater tots. My wife ordered a mushroom Swiss burger, which she found to be good and flavorful, and the fries were also enjoyable. After trying two different locations, I would say that Drake's is pretty average and lacks anything particularly special.
The food was of good solid quality, though it was a bit pricey for Louisville. The restaurant was very busy during our visit, likely due to a football game, which was understandable. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the service was prompt. We ordered a patty melt, an appetizer, a sushi roll, and two beers, totaling around $60 after tipping.
The noise level in the restaurant was excessive, and it felt a bit unclean as well. They referred to my meal as fish tacos, but they only partially delivered on that. Yes, it was indeed fish, but they ought to rename it fish fajitas since it came with grilled peppers and onions that I had to assemble myself. To make matters worse, I was surprised to find out that the fish was fried, particularly since they also offer sushi. I suppose I should have taken the time to read the description more carefully.
Some of THE BEST food I have ever had. Amazing experience, definitely coming back, I need a nap after eating such good food haha! Staff were amazing, super kind. We got rainbow rolls, a salad, and burgers with fries and tots. Woulda taken a picturebut they were devoured before I had a chance.
I’ve been visiting this restaurant for quite some time now, and I can always count on consistent food quality and excellent service. With a wide variety of menu options, you’re guaranteed to enjoy a satisfying meal and attentive service every time you go.
