It was like we had been friends our whole life. The passion and drive he has for the industry is one that is contagious. The history of this distillery like most is rich but this one hits different with the extensive roots all over the United States. Also Brian was our tour guide for all of our tours and same thing with him, like we had known each other for years. Great job done by him, and leading us through the tasting. Overall this is our favorite distillery on the bourbon trail. The whiskey is great, history as well, but the people are A1.
Peerless Distillery stands as a hidden gem in the world of whiskey, in my view. They produce the finest double-oaked whiskeys on the market. Corky and his remarkable team create an unforgettable experience, making you feel like part of their family during your visit. I eagerly anticipate my next trip there, and their whiskeys remain some of my top picks to seek out while hunting for bottles.
This is a fantastic tour. The building is beautiful and the tours through the facility are chock full of information about the distilling process. It was not only extremely interesting but a really fun way to spend an hour. The tasting was one of the best I've had, the bourbon and rye are excellent. This felt like a more personal experience versus some of the bigger distillery tours out there, questions were encouraged and it didn't feel like the guide was just reading a script. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in bourbon.
This was probably one of the best if not the best bourbon tour we 've ever been on. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about both the historical and chemical/production elements, the distillery is steeped in history, and the products are amazing. It 's a small facility, and the experience was much more personal and much less scripted than what you typically find at bigger labels. We got to meet the owner of the facility, who is a direct descendant of the pre-prohibition founder and is at the facility 6 days a week whether he needs to be or not (as our guide put it). Overall, it was a really great experience, and the passion of the staff plainly translates to their work and the facility as well as the product itself.
This is a great tour with a little more historic feel. Through some hard work, the family has kept it going more or less though several generations. Our tour guide, Mark, was very knowledgeable and seemed genuinely interested himself. The lineage is Jewish so there were someKosher elements that are different than other tours. Peerless let’s you look in the tanks and see the mash and also the different levels of char of the barrels. It was kind and observant to offer water along the way as well. The tasting was good and you get to keep your glass.
