The hummus is also worth trying—it has great flavor and you can get a small cup for only 50 cents. The beef shawarma and kofta are equally amazing. My 7-year-old son had the beef shawarma kids meal, and it was so generous that he had leftovers for lunch the next day. He also tried tahini for the first time and loved it! This place has become his new favorite restaurant. My family and I ordered four sandwiches, a kids meal, and extra sides of garlic sauce and hummus, and our total was only $26.50. The location can be a bit tricky to find if you're not familiar with the UofL campus—it's right next to the laundromat and Insomnia Cookies.
Really good food and priced very fairly. I've been eating lunch here pretty regularly since it's opened. If you live on or near UofL, I'd highly recommend it. It's built into the same building as Grey's Bookstore and is a lot better tasting and probably a good bit healthier than a lot of its competition.
Food was excellent. Some of the best shawarma I've had in town. EDIT: Everything I've had has been delicious and the owner is always super nice.
Great place to get lunch. We went here after church on Sunday and the food was awesome!
Great food, excellent vegetarian options and really friendly staff.
