Each of us had something different - one had the pecan crusted trout which was very good, another had the salmon which he said was wonderful, and I had the shrimp and scallops in a delicious sauce, which was the best. Our waiter Andy was efficient and helpful. Overall, it was a pleasantly wonderful experience and we look forward to returning. We come to Louisville every year for 10 days and love it.
I enjoy dining at Mitchell's as it is usually a pleasant experience. However, there are a few waiters who can really make the evening unpleasant. On my recent visit, one waiter barely spoke to us except to take our order, and didn't engage in any conversation. When we tried to joke around with him, he seemed uninterested and gave us a cold glare. This particular waiter really put a damper on our dinner experience. It's a shame because the food is usually great. I'm not sure why he is still employed there. If you happen to get this waiter, you might as well just stay home or opt for takeout instead. In situations like this, tipping is the last thing on your mind.
Chris made a wonderful task to ensure that our eating was exactly what we ordered, and that every detail was perfect! kudos well done for a job!
Positiw: appetizers and rubber cups were good home salads were fresh manager was friendly cons: long wait for drinks every time we ordered (multiple ask when we get them) waiter was not very attentive, because he seemed to be distributed over several areas to be four tables that came in 30 minutes after we got her eating and were almost finished before we got our cooler fish. it also tasted old.
Chris was an excellent waiter in every way. Kudos to your restaurant
