Scene at The Center - Louisville

We waited after being seated and were passed over by a waitress several times when I finally asked her who was our waitress. She said I am and walked away. She eventually came back, we ordered. It was a long wait. I had to ask her about our food. I noted a couple who were behind us in line were waited on before us. I feel The Scene is convenient for KPA attendees. It is overpriced service is sketchy. I doubt we would patron it again.

My wife got the chicken pot pie and it was cold and no taste. I got the French dip. The sandwich was good but menu said it came with French fries but I received house made chips. “We ran out of fries. “ Not good for the prices charged. However our server made it right.

First try for pre-show meal. And, last. Service was as if half the servers hadn’t shown up for work. Our server was nice but running and gunning to get it all covered. It was 45 ‘ before we were served and the burger I got was horrible. Zero taste and nothing on it. She offered to replace it but there wasn’t time so she took it off the bill. I never send food back, I’m just not a picky eater. My husband had the au jus and it was also not great. Too bad since the location is perfect. Maybe it was an off night, but nights of a big show should be when they’re really on their game.

This restaurant is a great choice if you are looking to dine close to the Kentucky Center before a performance. Especially convenient if walking is a concern.

We made a reservation an hour and a half before a show, but it took nearly an hour to receive our burgers and pork chop. Unfortunately, both dishes were dry and overcooked. The pork chop was especially difficult to slice into. There was no table service at the bar tables, and the long lines at the counter made it challenging to even get a water refill. We have dined here before prior to shows and the service and food quality remains consistently slow and mediocre. While we appreciate the convenience of dining and watching a show in one location, the hassle at this venue is too much. We will not be returning to eat here again.
