This is one of my favorite spots.... The food quality and the attentive staff leave you want to come again and again. Although the Steakhouse Oyster Bar could you think that this place is just for dinner its actually one of the best lunch spots in Louisville... I have entertaining business customers hosting staff dinner functions and just for dinner with my wife at the bar and always let say that this was delicious.... The owner of this facility is one of the premier restorations of Louisville with a true passion for food and customer service. Put this on your A LIST......
I really had high hopes for this place. Some friends said it was great. We had so much time. The food was good, the service was subpar, and the atmosphere was strange. I don't know how to really explain it except we're probably not going to be back. From hostess to bartender to our server, the staff seemed to be very distracted as if it could take care of something less. At one point our server brought the wrong drink, and when we told her about it, she took it away and still blamed us for it. All in all, just disappointed at what we pay for everything.
Very quiet atmosphere for romantic date night. Service is excellent.
We had a birthday gift card to use at Z's. Not before, we didn't know what to expect, even though we read reviews. Well, the fact that it was very expensive is true, but we read some reviews about service and attitude that were very untrue. The service was over and over wonderful. We were greeted by a very pleasant young lady (not received her name), Our waiter Beverly was so personal, pleasant and attentive. We were impressed by her and all the servers. We never had to look for someone to fill our drinks. Now for dinner. It was as good as delicious. I had a spinach mango salad with citrus dress. It could be almost a meal in itself. I almost said because I followed a crab cake and scallops that were excellent. Kiss her chef. My husband (the birthday we celebrated) had a steak that he called a succulent. It was a great evening with wonderful food that we would only feel justified for a special occasion (or with a gift card) due to the prices. However, the service and food are definitely to be praised. If prices are not a problem, go anytime. You'll love it.
