The dining experience here is truly exceptional. The quality of the food rivals that of Michelin-rated restaurants, but without any of the pretentiousness. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, sourcing, and preparation. I highly suggest chatting with your server and seeking their recommendations tailored to your tastes. My wife and I absolutely love Leah and Chef-owner Justin.

The service was adequate, but I expected something more personable from a small establishment. There were a few things that felt off—for instance, we ordered one steam bun, and they ended up bringing us four. When we arrived, the host inquired about our mask policy but seemed indifferent and merely asked if we had a reservation. The owner greeted the regulars but otherwise just sat and stared at the other diners without acknowledging them. When we said goodbye, he turned his back and simply replied, “bye.” Dining is about more than just the food; the overall experience matters too. Unfortunately, this restaurant didn't meet my expectations given the price.

Market Table Bistro is a high-class gem tucked away in a small town on the Virginia side of the VA, MD, WV border. From the moment you step inside, you are welcomed by friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable staff. The drinks and appetizers were outstanding. The Old Fashioned was expertly crafted, pairing beautifully with the steamed BLT buns and fried green tomatoes. The freshness of the ingredients and the skillful preparation were evident in every bite. For the main course, we enjoyed a whole red snapper and steak frites, both of which were exceptional experiences on their own. To round off our meal, dessert featured a chocolate chip cookie baked in a mini cast iron skillet. We had a wonderful time—thank you, Market Table Bistro!

We showed up super early in the hopes of being seated without a reservation, which we did! Definitely recommend making one ahead of time though. The service was incredible and the staff was very knowledgeable. We ordered the Mac Cheese, Beef Steamed Buns,Rockfish (half portion), and the Chocolate Ganache Cake. They also provided some complimentary bread and spread before ourmeal. Everything was plated beautiful and tasted incredible!

Beautiful outdoor seating area, dog friendly, quiet. Food was so good. Very tasty.
