Gold Star - Lowell

This place is disturbingly GROSS. Workers are extremely unsanitary. Place is disgustingly unsanitary. You can bet on the chicken being raw 100% of the time, and one time I even got rotten chicken. I recently went here and got very sick most likely because of their lack of sanitation. These people are gross...honestly don’t know how the board of health haven’t shut them down yet. Save your money and get your Chinese food someplace else!

I have been a patron of Gold Star restaurant since the very beginning. They have never done me wrong. I've been there when a person had a small complaint and the owner (Jimmy) not only took care of it but gave the woman a free order of chicken fingers. I haven't had any Chinese food since their closing. I am not boycotting other Chinese restaurants. It's just that Goldstar is the only restaurant that I eat egg rolls and Hot and sour soup from. I pray that other repeat patrons will take a moment to post some positive feedback. TIME TO REOPEN! Sincerely, James Wilcox

Spent over $100 on my order and they didn't get the order 100% correct. I called to have them fix my order and they wanted to charge me again for the correct items and a delivery charge. I ordered a delight of 3 which consists of pork tenderloin with chicken, shrimp and scallops and this is what I received.

Visiting from out of town. Rice too dark, not awesome flavor, the worst shrimps on lobster sauce ever, also in a very dark awful sauce. And the fried wings with fried rice combo, with only two small wings for $26.50, too much money for so bad food. Recommendation: Check out Jade and Number One Chinesse Restaurants in Elizabeth New Jersey, best Chinesse food ever, with the most delicious friend Rice, “look and learn”.

I'm not a huge Chinese food guy to start. Maybe 1 time a year maybe 2 times a year is really pushing it . This place was the spot back in the day . Few years back I ordered was very disappointed. Just moved back around the neighborhood and decided to give them another shot . We'll I was super impressed portions great , food wasn't greasy or blah it was very good . Over all would have been a 5 review if they had just been a little bit more friendly . But hey I'm not eating them just the food and that was good !!
