Tavern In The Square - Lowell

Very beautiful place. It has indoor and outdoor seating. Food is amazing and I also love their Mocktail collection. This place can easily accommodate 70 people. I also like their semi outdoor seating. Pricing is decent, I would say it’s similar to the Lowell downtown pricing. They are usually packed even on weekdays, so call and reserve your seating. Parking should not be an issue, there is ample space.

The food was great. Service was a bit of a miss they forgot a few items on our order) I will be coming back te food was that good

1. Reservation 6, got in 6:25 2. No waters served, drinks were longer than a normal wait. Ordered a cocktail which was overly sweet and waitress didn’t come back for 10 minutes and had to go to bar to have cocktail fixed. 3. Delivered Apps that were ordered as well as apps that we asked details about. Killed two bar flies that were hovering at table. 4. Fish and chips with no tartar sauce? Had to ask and it was acknowledged to be forgot. A piece of hair found once started eating. 5. Music so loud and speakers that sounded like an old 70’s speaker from the local dump. If you feel like average food and ok drinks with not great service. This is your spot.

I just dined here. The drinks are always good. Normally the food is really good but it was not this time. I get the Bayou chicken pasta gluten free and the pasta was different this time and it was over cooked. The dish tasted completely different. It was not good. They took my meal off of the bill but I wasn’t offered anything else to order. One of the other dishes that was ordered by my party had some cold sides. I hope it was just a bad night and they had to substitute some stuff. But that pasta was bad. I hope they go back to the old one. Our waitress was really nice! Her name was Laurel or Laura.

Great place to get formal or casual lunch/dinner. The food is great and the staff are amazing. I do recommend reserving a table before you visit the restaurant as it can get quite busy during weekdays at lunch time as this restaurant is located below the tallest building in Lowell. I would recommend this place
