I would have given five stars because the food and the atmosphere was amazing. However the service was not consistent I've been there a few times and sometimes it's wonderful and sometimes it's not I guess it just depends on who you get. The blueberry ice cream is amazing.
Unacceptable behavior as a business owner to both the fruit stand the Cafe 22 I’d been a loyal customer to this local fruit stand place for a long years until today everything has been changed. I would NEVER go back again and I will tell my friends and families as well, I would let them know because the owner guy told me “GO AWAY DON’T EVER COME BACK!” more than once in front of other customers. Could you believe that?! almost wonder is that because I’m an Asian woman who could be discriminated easily this is not acceptable behavior!! I ordered a burger to go from the cafe 22 next door and got a receipt) then I went into the fruit stand. I grabbed a box of peach, went to the cash register. This owner guy served me I found this info out later). I told him I would like to have a milkshake, too. He wrote it down and told me “a small size of the milkshake?” I said, “no, I want a large size please” as I ALWAYS only purchased a large size from this place. he used calculator and told me total $18.45. I gave him a $20 bill then he gave me $1.55 changes but with NO receipt, I did not pay attention that he was charging me a small size of the milkshake. A few minutes later. I got a milkshake, It was a small size. so I told the lady who handed it to me. I said, “I ordered a large size.” she led me to the cash register, again to the guy who made this order. He said, “you ordered a small size,” I answered, “no, I ordered a large size”. Frankly in my mind, he decided a small size for me, but I wanted a large size to begin with and had never changed my mind). each of us repeat several times of what we believe should be right; then, he told me “ You are rude; go away. Don’t ever come back.” “REALLY? THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMER INSTEAD TO MAKE IT RIGHT DUE TO YOUR MISTAKE?” I looked at his face and questioned his behavior. He repeat again, asked me to “go away and Don’t ever come back”... I told him I would never come back again, but I will make sure to leave you a truthful feedback as what I have experienced today. Very soon I found out he was actually this business owner including the cafe 22 restaurant. I also learned who is his son and daughter. Fairly, they both are very nice people no more words clearly I am not going back to this place ever again. hopefully other customers won’t have the same awful experience as what happened to me. That is not acceptable behavior!!! Lastly, I’m still questioning. Why didn’t he give me a receipt for what I purchased?! I am an accountant. My instant question is can you report your tax correctly if you don’t issue receipts to your customers???
I enjoy the kind and fast service. The food is made with love, and is top quality. I appreciate the locally grown meat and vegetables in their dishes. After lunch you can head on over to the farmers fruit shop and pick from a huge selection of freshly grown fruits and veggies. Along with their homemade canned food selection, locally sourced honey, and locally sourced frozen foods. Their in house made ice cream is amazing. And every year, we buy all our plants from there, they are of great quality. Lastly, the environment is clean, and the owners are very kind, good hearted souls. The quality and values of this farmers market are immaculate. We go almost every week to grab our veggies, eat lunch, and chat. Truly the highlight of my week. 10/10 will recommend to anyone who will listen! Parking: Lots of parking options.
Amazing breakfast. Great portions. Friendly staff. Love all the gas pumps and old engines. Chicken fried steak was amazing. Gravy too.
