Stringybark Cottage Winery Restaurant

Called in on a wet and raining evening tonight. Its so cosy in there with the roaring fire. Fantastic food with big portions and awesome staff. Absolutely stuffed but the dessert menu is to die for so i brought some home, as well as a bottle of wine. Totally reccomend this place

I wish i could rate this place higher!!!!! Best rack of lamb i have ever had, best duck ive ever had and best fish and chips ive ever had!. The service was impeccable and the drinks more so. After our late lunch we walked out with two bottles of the lilac hill estate muscat which is divine and a bottle of their 2017 Verdelho which is equally as amazing.

Great place to sit and unwind with a glass (or bottle) of the best wines in the valley. Great staff, even better food, we .never walk out hungry. Keeps us coming back every time.

Nice place for a quiet lunch. The surroundings are beautiful and the whole area is a place to visit. The food was really nice and fresh but there was a few things that let them down. They only have plunger coffe, I mean, it's 2017 . They have gone for a modern industrial sort of feel which comes off a bit more industrial than anything, and the ambience suffers from poor lighting. The open fire was really nice though and the staff were fabulous. Definitely worth a lunch if you are in the area.

Thoroughly enjoyed a lovely lunch today, in a warm and cosy atmosphere. Fire was glowing, beer was flowing, food was hot and tasty. I ordered the chicken/mushroom/leek pie and I loved every mouthful. My husband had the biggest plate of chilli mussels and he enjoyed them very much. The garlic bread was the best ever. We also did a spot of wine tasting and brought home a nice bottle of cab/shiraz. The lady who served us was friendly, informative and attentive. I would have rated the Stringybark a 5, if the prices had not been quite so high. But regardless, we will be back for more!
