Being a member of the twelve bottles of red a month club we are disappointed to learn that the vigilance tasting room may or will close. : we absolutely love the scenery and personal service provided by the employees there. We come in from the East and vigilance tasting is closer for us to pickup and taste. Please keep the vigilance tasting open! We also miss Marlina! We are disappointed to here of this! My husband and I came to Lake County from the Bay Area for a quiet weekend. We were pleasantly surprised by Shannon Ridge Winery (at Vigilance). Everyone was so friendly, most especially Marlena who assisted us during our tasting. We plan to return on our next trip. Highly recommend!

The Wine and the Music here are just the best! The views make it that more special! Marlyna is so knowledgeable and a great conversationalist. I've met the nicest people here! WAIT HAVE I MENTIONED THE MUSIC? Such a fun spot! Don't ever change! CHEERS!

So, pull up a chair this one is worth the read:I travel to this area of northern California with my cousin every year to see our family. We 've done it for years. I live in Denver, and wine country doesn 't really exist where I live. Each year, we pick a little place to go taste wine, to support local business. We 've always enjoyed ourselves. But, this year was a different story.... When we came into town, we just happened to buy a bottle of local wine at Safeway. Clever label...local.. Great taste. Check When we had a little time on our Sunday afternoon this year, we decided to find out more about this simple lil bottle we bought from Safeway.....Lower lake...super close: checkAmazing website... Check.Mission/concept: Inspiring: Check.So we headed south. When we arrived to their beautiful facility, we were greeted by Marlyna. Little did we know, our lives would all be changed by our arrival. We had a tasting, the regular tasting flight. Each time this beautiful lady poured into our glass, we got the story about its concept. How it got there, and more importantly, what their intention is. All the while, watching the vineyard 's sheep. Because you know, they plant a cover crop. Not sure what that means? Just look it up....As the sun set, we decided... It was time to buy some wine and some merch. Our lovely host took Extra care of each group in her bar. When it was our turn, she topped off our tasting glasses with the particular wine we each loved mine was the best one, ?)Needless to say, we felt so inspired to support not only this winery, but this company 's mission: thinking outside the box. Seeing the whole picture and making a difference.We finished our taste, cashed out and headed for the door.With sincere gratitude, our lovely host hugged us like we were family, and off we went.We will be back. Next year, and the year after that, and the year after that.We talked all the way home about how grateful we were for our experience at vigilance winery. But also, how glad we are that this special company has this host to represent it.And our names rhyme...
