This family owned and operated business on Bethlehem's SouthSide is a shining star to the community. Tony, Deb and Kev are truly the nicest people you will meet and treat long time regulars and first time customers equally well. The Goose has an extensive menu to satisfy your cravings, but there is also the Secret Menu of even more special sandwiches. However if you don't see what you want, just ask Tony and he will do his best to meet your request with the ingredients he has available. Basically if you are anywhere nearby and looking for a sandwich you owe it to yourself to visit The Goose.
The Goose is a family run sandwich shop in Southside Bethlehem located just off campus of Lehigh University. When I arrived there was a line out the door. That's always a good sign. While waiting I decided to look online at the menu so I could have my order ready. The problem with that was I couldn't find their menu anywhere. When I got close to the counter I realized they had all of their special sandwiches written on paper plates. I'm sure there is some significance behind that, but I would prefer an actual menu. Luckily the owner was working the counter so he made some good recommendations. I decided on ordering one of their most popular hoagies; the Aardvark. It's made with buffalo chicken, pepper ham, bacon, cheddar jack, hot sauce, and mayo. The hoagie was lightly toasted and packed with meat. Delicious! On top of the food being fantastic, counter service is friendly and the prices are affordable. The Goose checks all the boxes. Aardvark 8.3 Food 8.3 Service 8.2 Value 8.3 Restaurant score 83
Finally stopped in to the Goose after being told to go at least 3 dozen times. Got the “Mama Goosey Stuffa you face” mainly so I could say that sentence out loud. The Italian was very good for the cost. I do think they could benefit from a slightly better roll but I loved the place, the employees were awesome, and it was wallet friendly. Will be back in to try other menu items for sure but for now The Goose Didn’t Suck! Check out this video and hundreds more on my social pages here [hidden link]
Best hoagies in Bethlehem. Massive portions at reasonable prices. Don't be intimidated by the massive menu; you can't go wrong!
Where to start...A longstanding deli in south Bethlehem. The food is great, the quality and variety is first class and the owner is the one making the sandwiches...if you are hungry stop in, the food to price ratio is stacked in the customers favor. Go in hungry...you won't be when you leave.
