The Hatfield Lowestoft

I wouldn't recommend dining here if you're hungry. The main courses are now being served on plates that are more suitable for appetizers, making it feel like a total rip-off. I've eaten here numerous times over the past few years, and the portions used to be generous. The buckets placed to catch the drips from the leaking roof tell you everything you need to know about the state of the place. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Located right on the beachfront, this charming hotel offers friendly service, delicious food, and a reasonably priced bar. Our room was comfortable, featuring a great shower and bathtub. It provided everything we needed for our stay in this delightful seaside town.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short visit to this charming hotel, ideally situated right on the main promenade with stunning views of the beach. The rooms were comfortable, and although the hotel was undergoing some renovations during our stay, it didn’t interfere with our holiday experience. The staff were all very courteous and accommodating, going out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The bar and restaurant featured an impressive selection of beers and wines, along with a delightful variety of meals on the menu. We dined there on our first evening and both had a wonderful meal. We highly recommend the Baileys cheesecake for dessert – you won’t be disappointed!

I didn't stay at the hotel, but I took my lovely friend out for breakfast. The full English breakfast was excellent, and I even asked to speak to Carol, the chef, to let her know. The service was fantastic; the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Great job, everyone!

The restaurant's location right by the sea is excellent, but it's starting to show some signs of aging, and the staff doesn't seem as attentive as they used to be. Nevertheless, it still remains one of the best places to enjoy a sit-down drink and a meal at Lowestoft beach.
