Bara Imambara - Lucknow

It is good place in lko.....its major attractions are bhool bhulaiya on ground as well as on roof....persian hall indian hall and chinese hall. Good place to visit.

This is a heritage monument related muslim religion. Good architecture, moderately maintained. You can buy cold drinks and snacks inside the monument campus. The small garden was properly maintained and the place was clean. I missed the opportunity to visit the entire place as my mother was having problems with so many stairs. I personally feel that the entry ticket is highly priced as you have to pay to the guide in addition to entry tickets. Otherwise the place is good.

An iconic place to visit in Lucknow. The most interesting part is the Bauli. The inside of the main building is way too crowded. No body follows Covid norms. If you are a photographer you will have hard time finding a clear frame as this tourist place is too busy. Also, we felt the old structure could have been more maintained and well taken care of. The tourist department has not paid much attention to the maintenance of the old iconic building.

Imambara is mourning hall. Has lot of detail in its construction. Loved the architecture. Construction marvel. Even in peak noon, its cool inside. Avoid guide if possible, they are in hurry and for obvious reasons. If you are going there make sure you explore every detail of it. It's not something you should wrap up in 1-2 hrs. Feel the place. Read the brief history written on board at entrance to have the feeling of it. That structure has soul still alive. Best time to go during evening to have glimpse of sunset from that grand structure.
