Bolero Lubeck

Odd to see a mexican restaurant in Germany. There didn't seem to be a huge selection of restaurants in town, so we gave it a try. The drinks were all good, can't say the same for the food. Appetizers were great, but I couldn't even eat my meal, it was that bad. Others in the party somewhat happy. The place was quite busy, and there seemed to be only one server for the whole place, therefore service was terribly slow. Our server was quite a nice guy though. Patrick, with a great handlebar mustache! We also were seated near the front door, and people were often going out to smoke, therefore there was both smoke, and cold air entering. The cold was worse than the smoke!

Went here after a team building event and had the Caesar burger. Was ok, but at the lower end of the burger joint shop. Above McDonald's and Burger King but below hard rock and TGI Service was friendly

We stumbled across this place just walking around Lubeck. We were surprised at the variety of the menu, with a huge selection of cocktails and different meals. I had the best whiskey sour I've ever had and my wife had a massive cocktail (caipiroska I think). Turns out it was a "jumbo" sized cocktail, but for the amount in it, it represented great value for money. We actually returned the following night just to grab a couple more of them. The food was tasty - we had nachos and enchiladas, both of which were large servings. The service was a little slow but overall it was enjoyable evening.

Bolero's is a great value restaurant in the centre of Lübeck, especially on a Monday night for buy one get one free.For a change, we visited on a Wednesday, where we found the place quiet and the staff helpful without being overly attentive.The Mules, served in copper mugs, are highly recommended and a good complement to the menu. Everyone in our group enjoyed their choices, but remember this is Mexican food for a German palette; one that's seemingly scared of chilli. We'll no doubt be back soon, but might smuggle some Tabasco in.

Typical modern bar with international food, good place to have a beer with friends; also good place to see tooball matches in the big screens
