The food was really good and my husband is very picky about sushi and sashimi since he was a former sushi bar owner. He had a roll with gresh mango and crab, and a few hand rolls and I had the lunch special with calamari which was very tender and tasty.
Just ordered sushimi and was not impressed, fish looked like it had just been defrosted, large pieces of not great quality of fish ,I had high hopes but was not impressed,
I've been dining at Izumi Sushi with my parents since I was a child. Izumi Sushi has been in business for nearly 30 years, and that’s not just due to a few five-star reviews. It takes consistent quality and exceptional service to earn the trust and loyalty of customers over such a long period. In a highly competitive market, lasting this long is a testament to their genuine strength and reputation, not just superficial praise.
Do not be fooled by the positive reviews. They offer folks a free drink to leave a review and many are leaving reviews blindly. Service was good however the food was bad quality and poorly made. Chirashi bowl had raw fish at different temperatures. Rolls fell apart at immediate contact. Chicken was chewy and overcooked. We got bloated and stomach problems. We won't be back Noted: we did not participate in the offer for a free drink.
