Nathan was a great customer service guy, helped me get a smoothie that had enough protein go fill me up and I can’t thank him enough for his service!
Indifferent. That’s the best way to explain the staff at this location. Today, I discussed with the 2 girls working there that I love the pineapple matcha at Starbux and would like to find a similar option at Smoothie King of Lufkin. It was decided they would make me a matcha green tea and put pineapple in it. When the drink was ready, an employee indifferently calls out my name... no eye contact, no smile, no concern for my opinion of the “new” drink. Just simply “doing her job.” For years, this has been the consistent way of Smoothie King in Lufkin. Absolutely ZERO customer service. Every time I (hardly ever) go there for a drink, I vow I will never go back. Today reminded me of my vow. The drink was horrible, but that isn’t the point. The point is the staff is old enough to know how to treat customers with a smile, engage in even brief eye contact, show some sort of interest, and exude at least minimal kindness (Go over to Chick Fil A for a great example), yet as time goes on, the employees at Smoothie King of Lufkin seem to share the motto: “This is just a job. Do as little as you can to get by and go home.” I can’t help but be convinced that this attitude must be from the persons above them; I’d rather support another local business who at least acts like they are glad I’m there!
I went in there to redeem my coupon for a free smoothie and the person at the register told me in the rudest way possible that she couldn’t accept it. Mind you I was being very nice and friendly. She gave off a very low energy and acted as if she didn’t want to be there. And I never got asked if I wanted plastic or foam for my cup.
