L’Antica Osteria del Porto - Lugano

The location is beautiful close to the water, lit by festoon lights but the service left a lot to be desired. My 'special request ' for 'our drink ' to be served on our arrival was overlooked, which kind of ruined the surprise asking for...it, in front of my husband! My pasta was cold second attempt was better, tasty and plentiful. My husband ordered a side of potatoes, but was not advised that his meal came with potatoes! We had to ask for a wine list which arrived, but our order was never taken. We skipped dessert, feeling that we didn 't want to spend any more time or money in the unwelcoming environment! Admittedly, we weren 't charged for the drink, but came away feeling underwhelmed.

We booked our table in advance to make sure that there won 't be any issue. When we arrived, the waiter could not find our name on the list and only after checking it 3 times he managed to find it. Not a great start....We then ordered our food, but the waiter did not actually register it on his device so after roughly 10 minutes he actually came back and usked us again because he forgot about it. Again, not collecting points here. When ordering the wine my s.o. was just given 3 options by the waiter, not even showing her the wine menu. Similar with my beer, I could choose if I wanted to have a lager or something else, and I had a choice between two sizes. Amazeballs. I had no idea what beer I would be drinking and my girlfriend just knew that she would be having a glass of name xy , that 's it. The homemade spaghetti were alright, but not as great as you might expect. Homemade pasta usually oozes freshness and is just a few levels above others. This one wasn 't. As a whole, it was definitely not worth it. It 's alright, but the price would ask for better service and even better food.

Excellent homemade pasta and desserts! We found this restaurant by chance and we are happy we did! The food was delicious and the atmosphere very relaxed.

I just want to say: 32 chf for 3l water. eating was pretty good, nice location, but it's too expensive. I don't think I'll be back.

Here with family and friends. the prices were good. the food was excellent. we had great service even a bigger group. I recommend this to everyone in lugano. excellent!
