The staff was very friendly and we even had recommendations from the chef for other food destinations on our trip in Nova Scotia. This restaurant is a must-go in Lunenberg. Top quality food and service, for a relatively affordable price.
What a lovely evening we had last Saturday! Each course was carefully prepared, seasonal, sustainable, balanced and so tasty. Who knew mushroom tacos could taste so good, I'm still thinking about them. The service was excellent and you can tell the fellow that owns this sweet little gem of a restaurant really cares that you enjoy your evening--which we did, immensely. I can't wait to go back next time we're in NS!
We had the best meal we've had in Nova Scotia at this restaurant. We stumbled upon it while walking down one of the main streets in Lunenburg. The chef offers a five-course menu with choices for four of the courses. The food was both innovative and beautifully presented, as well as delicious. My husband couldn't stop raving about the wild mushroom tacos and wished he could have had more. I particularly enjoyed the broccoli tempura as a starter - perfectly cooked with great flavor and lovely accompaniments. My favorite dish was the pan-seared haddock with ginger butter on black rice. The cocktails were excellent, with my rhubarb spritz being a perfect choice for a hot day. The whiskey-based cocktail my husband had was also very good. The restaurant offers a selection of nice wines by the glass. The intimate dining space is beautifully decorated, with well-spaced tables and impeccable service. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Lunenburg.
This is an incredible restaurant to dine at. The service was fantastic and the food was even better! The prix fixe menu on Saturday night was outstanding. Each person in our group of 4 ordered something different and loved it! The beer and wine selection was also impressive. We will definitely return.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. It was a pleasant surprise and a refreshing departure from the typical seafood restaurants we had been visiting during our trip. We arrived early and had the restaurant to ourselves. The bouillabaisse was flavorful and featured tender seafood. The dishes showcased a variety of seafood options and interesting combinations with the side dishes and salads. If we lived in the area, we would definitely dine here frequently.
