Everyone of the 7 people on our minibus tour refused to eat the food after going in here. Our tour guide was not good and this was another of his bad pointers. The food was obviously pretty old sitting in buffet containers that were unevenly heated and it did not look appetizing. I am not surprised that some other reviewers elswhere who made the mistake of eating here then got sick. The price is crazy for Egypt, and it dropped by 33% for us the minute they could see we were not impressed. I would not have eaten for free. The 2 Egyptian young ladies on our tour refused to eat here immediately, possibly due to the price. The 2 Japanese, 2 Americans, and 1 Australian looked over the buffet then refused. Just say no if your tour stops here. About 1 block up, for the same asking price, is one of the best restaurants in Egypt, Wannas Art Cafe. and 4 doors east is the very good Sunflower restaurant.
I along with the group was taken to this restaurant by our guide Mr. Imad and we paid 100 Egyptian Pound each (approx. USD 6). It is located on the West bank of Nile. Food was good, well-cooked , some items were delicious. It was a buffet lunch : Chinese, Indian, Egyptian dishes with some dessert were served. However, we had to purchase drinks separately.
Stopped here for lunch as part of the tour to the temples. Self service Buffett and the food was ok, service was good and friendly. As a stop off, it did it’s job.
Good food. Excellent selection of cold and hot meals. Fresh salads, fresh fruits, bred, vegetable and meat. Clean tables and restrooms.
