Newly refurbished, excellent service and honestly the best fish and chips I have had other than at the original Harry Ramsdens restaurant. Generous portions and the kids fish and chips was freshly lightly battered cod pure white with no bones or skin. Every last bit was eaten with haste! Lovely ice cream with a wide selection of flavours. Short wait for the mains to be brought out. Would go again.
The food was lovely, the decor was simple but very stylish and the background music was an excellent selection of Motown greats. We stopped for lunch but could easily have stayed all afternoon.
My family dined at this restaurant in August and had a delicious meal. However, the main reason for my review is to commend the staff for their exceptional help when we lost our car keys. Even after we had left, they went above and beyond to locate our keys and arrange for them to be returned to us by the cab company. The employees were incredibly friendly and supportive throughout the ordeal, and we are extremely grateful for their assistance. Thank you! (And in case you are wondering why this review is being posted so late, the stress of the situation caused me to forget the name of the restaurant, but I recently found the receipt and wanted to share our positive experience).
I cannot recommend this café. There was no draft lager or ice cream cones available. I had to settle for a jacket potato with cheese, but the grated cheese was just thrown on top. My wife ordered the Mexican chicken and unfortunately, she found that the chicken was undercooked (it was pink).
