My favorite restaurant in Lyon. Katsumi is a real furnace magician. Using high-quality products, it simply and effectively transforms these products by bringing out the taste and texture of the food.

To be transparent, I must say that we have never eaten here. but I wanted to share our experience with this restaurant. we were in lyon france for 2 days before the ascending of a river cruise and went from this. restaurant and noticed all michelin notifications at their door. we arrived on Sunday and apparently most restaurants near quite early. this restaurant was not taken out and was closed when we came by. When we came back to our hotel, we saw it up and saw all the great reviews. we wanted to try this place. the next day I tried to call. Nobody answered the phone. I called at least 5 times a day without success. I even went on the website to try to book online and I could not find anywhere what I could. we also went by to try to make a reservation in person, but we just came by 2 o'clock and they were closed after lunch. we have pinched in the window and my man could see the owner/cook sitting on a table. So I tried to call again. he didn't answer the phone. in fact, he didn't even move. I tried to talk to no one again 3 times on the afternoon. Finally, we thought they might not have stopped, so we decided to go a bit earlier than their opening hours of 20 o'clock. we arrived at 19:52 clock. all the lights were on. we could see how the cook jumps through the kitchen window. we also saw 2 women there and (sagbar family as a woman was older and the other younger). I tried the door, but she was still closed. the women in the inner looked up, but then looked away, so we stood in the rain and waited. at last at 8 o'clock I heard the buck of a door unlocked. I waited. So I tried the door again. this time it was opened. no woman looked at me. the older woman finally asked me if I had reservations to which I said she cut me off immediately and told me if I had no reservations that they had no room. I explained that I tried to call several times throughout the day and no one answered the phone. she told me I had made a reservation online, but it wasn't important because they were booked. throughout the conversation she moved around the room and refused to make eye contact. She got me pretty out of the restaurant. I was totally shocked and embarrassed. I've never been treated like that. I don't know if my ethnicity has contributed to her employment, but I'll say that I don't care how many Michelin stars they have their service and their courtesy is extremely poor and lacking. I would not recommend this restaurant. there are too many other restaurants in the restaurant capital of the world to set up this type of bad posture.

That is by far the best kept secret in lyon. by far the best food we had in france! including paris and nantes. the place is very simple, but eating is exquisite and each plate with an excellent exquisite taste! it's a must in...Lyon! the chef is amazing and every attention is placed on the freshest and most delicious! service is great
