We had to try the mussels and we were not disappointed. Tasted as...fresh as if you were in Normandy. Of course, the food would not have tasted so good without the very good service we got..
A simple tray of oysters and a glass of white wine is a must at Les Halles. These oysters a plump and full of flavour. You can enjoy them and move on to your next tasting in minutes, Perfect. Tip we had No oysters, and in the half dozen had of each from different regions.
Located in the Halles de Lyon market, this restaurant serves only fish/sea food. Excellent and fresh oysters, mussels, etc. Place is crowded, tables are small and people speaking different languages gather in the door trying to find a spot. Good relation quality/price.
Excellent range of seafood, from whelks, through shrimp, prawns cockles and oysters through to Langoustine and Lobster. Excellent service from a very friendly staff but the langoustine were overcooked. Local white wine was delicious as was my pudding which was truly marvelous
This is a must-go-to place each time we visit Lyon. The freshness of the seafood is unbeatable. We especially love the succulent oysters and sweet langoustines. The price is fair but not cheap. We found that it is better value if you order the seafood...ala carte than if you order a standard platter from their menu. Only pity is that they do not offer any sashimi. We ordered some hot dishes like escargots and seafood soup and they were both delicious! The servers speaks very little English and it was a little hard to get their attention. They were always rushing around and did not pay much attention to their customers. But once you succeed in ordering, the service was fast and efficient. Although service is lacking, the food more than compensate for it. We will certainly come back for more seafood when we visit Lyon again.
