For a place like this, an Affligem double for 5.80 euros is very expensive.
Very sad experience. The food was very mediocre but manageable, but the service made for a very unpleasant experience. After indicating that we had received the wrong drink, we were only served a long face. The worst part was that we waited an hour before payment could be made. The staff does not ask if you would like to order something or if you would like to pay. The entire terrace had the same problem. Food: 1
The restaurant was directly opposite our holiday apartment and is also busy in the evenings. Therefore, a visit was recommended straight away. Unfortunately, I can't rate either the food or the drinks because we simply weren't served. We sat down in front of the restaurant on Wednesday evening and were asked quite promptly if we had a reservation. After a brief denial, we were informed that due to a lack of staff in the kitchen, only guests with reservations would be served. We then looked for another location and completely postponed the breakfast we had planned for the following day. The fact that there can sometimes be bottlenecks is understandable. But the fact that we were neither informed of this at check-in nor that it was visible in any way on the website is a no go.
I once read all the reviews and unfortunately have to conclude that 2 years ago people DID write positively, but since 2021 they have NOT written positively at all. This is useful information. Unfortunately, there has been no response from 't Proeflokaal. Shame!!! I will visit this Park and of course 't Proeflokaal soon and will of course post my own findings in a review.
