Had a really good time, the food and environment is great and the manager Miguel (i think is his name) really made the experience memorable, the students are in good hands!
The restaurant is located on the hill. It also offers car parts for the guest. All waiters are students. You can see that some tutor guide them to serve the guest. The food is good, and the service is very good!
This small, reasonably priced restaurant is located inside the IFT University and is open to the public!! The restaurant also is operated to train students in the culinary arts as well as food preparation and serving the public. It offers Portuguese specialities, various European dishes and also provides gluten free foods!! The choices are very well prepared... and the prices are surprisingly low/modest! You will definitely enjoy visiting this restaurant and tasting the wonderful dishes, and helping in the training of next generation chefs and restaurant workers!!
Price: Pro: top of the hill, relatively quiet, spacious, traditional fine dining food Con: limited parking, relatively hard to book This student restaurant is situated at the top of the hill and next to the educational catering school. The décor were modern and each table are well spaced out. My first postive impression was the freshly baked bread that come with the table. It is rare in Macau to find this traditional and delicious western style bread. My gf and I ordered the lunch time set menu (as it is shown in the picture). All courses are nicely decorated and appeasing to the eyes. However, I find the mushroom tart a bit dull and required a bit of acidity to brighten it up. The main course were excellent, however the monkfish is at the boarder of overcooked. Finally, the mille Fleur dessert was heaven in the mouth, but it took quite a bit of battle and a mess to break up the pastry (it is too hard and the cream squeeze out everywhere). My gf enjoyed lemon dessert. The acidity of the lemon is really sharp (overpowering) and the sweetness of the cream comes after the initial acidic bomb. But still, I think those who like sour will enjoy this dessert a lot more than I did. The service was good, but there are lots of thing students yet to learn... (The service was pleasant but clumsy) Overall, definitely will go there again and recommend anyone who wants an inexpensive fine dining experience.
