The Blue Bird Ranch - Machias

I had a wonderful birthday lunch at this delightful little spot! Our waitress, Lauren, was fantastic. I enjoyed baked stuffed haddock with mashed potatoes and peas, while my boyfriend opted for a massive haddock sandwich—just look at the size of it! The food was delicious; however, I did have one complaint: my potatoes and gravy were served cold, and his fries were also not fresh or warm. We decided to take dessert to go, which included chocolate cake with boiled frosting and peanut butter cookies. Overall, I would definitely return!

A clean, family-friendly restaurant with generous portion sizes—enough to create two meals from our adult dishes! The cooking is excellent. The menu changes frequently, so we missed out on some items we wanted this time (like the fried avocado), but everything we did try was delicious! We enjoyed the spinach dip, Chicken Parmesan, and the seafood Alfredo with scallops and shrimp. The shrimp and clam plate was also fantastic! I particularly loved the fried shrimp and clam dish paired with mashed potatoes and the vegetable of the day. Overall, a wonderful dining experience!

Delicious traditional American and Maine cuisine that tastes just like your grandma would have made—so good you'll want to lick your plate clean! Our server, Sara, was fantastic, adding some flair and thoughtful sauce recommendations to the lunch specials. The lobster stew was rich in flavor with simple ingredients, and the dessert we took home was definitely worth every calorie. My husband loved the authentic battered onion rings and steak wrap, almost as much as we enjoyed sharing the sweet corn nuggets and southwest egg rolls as appetizers. This will definitely be a regular stop on our way to Lubec. Well done, Blue Bird Ranch Family!

The food was delicious. I would recommend trying the onion rings, they were similar in flavor to Frenches onions which I love. We also had a really flavorful shrimp appetizer along with a variety of other things that we all really loved.

Food is always good atmosphere was great We had our own little room where we had such a big group of people and our waitress was awesome cannot complain.
