Buyuk Sumela - Macka

I stumbled upon this hotel last minute in Maçka and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff who checked me in around 2 am. I would give this hotel 4 stars for their excellent service. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the location is perfect for visiting the Sumela Monastery. While English may not be widely spoken in the area, communication with nearby restaurants and shops was made easy with Google Translate. There is a charming cafe called LaDur Cafe just a 6 minute drive away with stunning views from the hilltop. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, with an efficient air conditioner, cozy beds, and a well-stocked bathroom. I recommend staying here for a day or longer to explore Maçka, with Trabzon a short 30-minute taxi ride away and the Sumela Monastery just a 15-minute taxi ride. I had no trouble finding a taxi driver to take me to Sumela and wait for me while I explored. I highly recommend this hotel for its convenient location and excellent service.

Greater than expected! Rooms are way better than the images. I recommend it very much.

This restaurant does not deserve 4 stars nor 2 stars. The room was dirty, the bedding was unclean, and the bathroom had a bad smell. I do not recommend this place at all.

We came with Prontotour. There are lots of shops and cafes around the central place. Rooms were clean bathroom towels were clean. It had an authentic feel. Dinner was in the form of a set menu. It was in good taste. There was not a lot of variety in the breakfast, it was an ordinary self-service to save the day. Since we stayed for one night, it was not a problem. Service was good. Employees are involved. Room cleanliness and bed comfort come first for me. I had no problems with this. Nearby activities: A lady has a small tea shop next to her.
