I'm eating here for Thanksgiving. Every course was delicious. Her bread was warm, soft on the inside, crispy on the outside. The lobster bisque was rich and creamy with generous hump magenta. Their traditional Thanksgiving courses were also standard. Ambience is beautiful and relaxing. Service was also good. I would like to go back and try their regular menu!
The Thanksgiving dinner special and overall restaurant level they were claiming to be, was definitely not worth the value. First the rolls came out in their baskets with pumpkin butter which was good but would have been better if we had little plates to put them on and not have crumbs all over the table cloth. It was odd that a restaurant of this scale did not serve personal plates so I didn't feel like I had to eat it in one go. The lobster bisque was great had quite a bit of lobster the best part of the meal hands down the second option was salad which I opted from due to the CDC romaine scare as of 11/20. Now I got dark meat and was expecting a carving of Turkey pieces, boy was I disappointed, they looked like processed dark meat Turkey steak slabs that were in a warming rack. The kind of meat I would expect in a lunch cafeteria in high school I took maybe 3 bites and lost total appetite for Thanksgiving. The stuffing was a decent, small 3 by 3 inch square which tasted really moist and i had made it better with barely a spoonful of the cranberry sauce served in a dish. The mashed potatoes had a little too much water almost thought they were a box of just add water potatoes. The sweet potatoes though tasted good along with the green beans. I've been to liberty tree tavern which is an all you can eat sit down where the waiters bring the food to your table, 12 bucks cheaper, and way better quality. I looked through the rest of the menu and saw atrocious prices for a 12 dollar bowl of French onion soup and 12 dollar salads and our plates were not really big which may have been because we had a course. I really was not impressed with this restaurant or the prices on the platters for the quality I received.
This is one of my favorite places, but not for Steak. It is an excellent place for crab legs, and this is always my goal. One of my favorite things is the spreads that accompany the bread. You have excellent things. If you like chocolate, you must try the chocolate lava cake. The whipped cream that comes with him is something of the best I've ever had.
This was our first time here, it will definitely not be our last. As part of the restaurant week, so we can try it. It was so good! Our waitress Laura was great! She took the time to explain things on the menu and had a really great attitude and sense of humor. The overall experience was fantastic due to the great food and Laura's customer service. Great first impression!
