Contribuisci feedbackLovely, laid back ambience with brick floors, wood paneling, and big barn doors. Service was quick and unobtrusive and the food is heavenly. We especially liked the green beans, smoked shrimp, monkey bread, and the mushrooms in the fettuccine. Plates were fairly small. The Tis the Season Sour won best cocktail!
We had three small plates and one large, which seemed just right for two people. An unusual salad with some pickled vegetables was fresh and surprisingly good; the chicken confit wasn't anything unexpected, but was perfectly executed. The large plate, short ribs, was amazing: it's been a long time since we've eaten anything as good. Desserts were pedestrian in comparison, I'd advise you to fill up on the dinner instead.
Exquisite food, reasonable portions one of the best places in Madison! Hopefully they will find a new location.
