Best kept secret on the East Side. Marko's fish has been on Madison Il for decades. Your Cod sandwich is comparable to none in the area. freshly baked while you wait. This small family business is worth it. Don't miss it and have to turn around. Love it

The big golden beer battery cow fish is pretty good. The only thing I can really compare is Culvers Cod Fish Sand, which in this case Markos is better all day. When you look by, you will get a big cut of cod junks, the beer is broken and golden deep fried. If you're afraid of oil, this fish comes with some oil. In fact, the only way to get this fish is to fried deep and broken beer. I've tried the onion rings and the frits they're all frozen, there's no kitchen here. But for frozen they are quite delicious, I think it is that fish oil. They offer shrimp I understand can't be their strong dish, as I like my shrimps big when fried and these are not so big at all, I was told that they are popcorn shrimps as the cook told me. They offer hamburgers and cheeseburgers, but the cook said it is best to stick with the cod fish. Now you know when you come, just order the cable fishing sandwich, now you have a choice as you want it. You can use your cod fish sandwich level on good white bread, or with your choice of pimples, onions or banana peppers on white bread. Your choice is premade tarter sauce or hot sauce packages. A cold soda in a can costs you $1.00 Now this place can easily be passed on if you don't look for it, as it doesn't look like a restaurant. It is a small place, but with a lot of parking and it is at the street parking. The place best can sit 12 people, 4 at the switch and 8 at the tables and you know better. I think if you're in the area or go through, try this place you can enjoy it well. If you are not in the area, do not make a special trip unless you just want to try another cod fish sandwich that is simple and good. That's great for me, I like mines with the pimples, onions and banana pudders the tars sauce is my garment of choice. I wish they would make their own tarter sauce and make it better than the squid bottle stoppers. But if it's not broken, why repair. I have to give them the rating that I didn't see someone else doing cable fishing better.
