I had guests who wanted to give a full Hibachi experience. there were 10 seats at the table, although we arrived early and wait 20 minutes and were first on the table, we sat at the far end of the table. this led to two of us sitting behind the chef. I asked we were 6 people and should sit so we could have a good experience and see the cook from the front. seriously? this place gives the customer experience and the full meaning how many people they can fit into the table and vieh. will not go again. this is against what Americans want when they go to eat. Eating was okay. look at my wonderful view and all empty chairs.
Oh, what an incredible menu, I didn't know where to start, to a first time visitor. should I go for sushi, sashimi, steaks cooked menu? it sounded so inviting, well I will be in the neighbourhood for a month, so it will certainly be an opportunity to try again, so I decided to start on the first line, sumo deluxe combo. I'm so glad I managed to eat more than I could finish on a jump, but I enjoyed trying. while I enjoy mine; I saw how the server passed with some very aspiring looking sushi/shashimi plates. I was just thinking, I have to spend some time here while the one I'm going to be. keep my place warm, I'm back.
This place is quiet elegant, definitiw a stylish restaurant. I didn't know that before. we were well served and that was delicious. we loved above all the tiramisu dessert. will come back!
Bad service, eating was just okay. tempura was super disappointing. Sushi roles were in order, but in any case something better can find elsewhere.
Food was good... However our desserts weren't as good. It's unfortunate because we don't normally get dessert with dinner when eating out, but this time warranted it. It happens to be the same night the staff was crazy slammed with a bunch of groups who were out on the town for their prom night...which was fun to see. What wasn't so fun was that our service had to suffer from it. From the time we were seated til the time we were trying to pay, we were kind of forgotten about a few times because of being tucked off into the private room. We actually sat for about 30 min before someone in our group decided to leave the room to look for our server. (Yes, I actually know how long we waited because I was looking at the time due to trying to check on my homework really quick before the staff would come). The best part was the dinner itself. Food came out really quick after placing our order and it was hot. The hot tea was ironically hot, though. But other than that, it was a decent experience. My family and I stopped in while we were in town, but don't frequent here to Madison so we're also unsure if this is the usual chaos for a weekend evening. Overall, we'd love to try this place again, without the distractions of the multiple large parties if we were passed through here.
