Taqueria La Guadalupe - Madison

While traveling to New Orleans, we decided to stop at this restaurant, and it was a fantastic choice. They weren't very busy that evening, so our order arrived at our table in under five minutes. As Chicagoans, we know good Mexican cuisine, and this place certainly delivered. The service from our waiter was excellent as well. We’ll definitely stop by again on our way back home.

Consistently good food, fast service, and amazing prices!

To access the restaurant, you first need to drive through the gas station parking lot. I ordered the Carnitas while my wife opted for the grilled Pollo Fundido. I recommend asking for extra pico de gallo. My carnitas were in smaller pieces but packed with fantastic flavor. The Fundido was cooked to perfection, featuring juicy chicken, crispy onions, and a delightful cheese dip that complemented the dish wonderfully. The chips were thin and crisp, although the salsa was a bit mild and not chunky enough—making it ideal for kids. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back.

I was seated in a cozy booth and promptly served my drink and chips with dip. My meal arrived in just 5 minutes, and I was really impressed by how fast it came out. The nachos I ordered were amazing, topped with delicious queso cheese. The waiter was very polite and frequently checked in to make sure everything was alright. I give this experience a 5 out of 5 and will definitely return!

This restaurant is amazing! They serve the best cheese dip I've ever had, and the tacos are always incredibly fresh. As a family of six, we really appreciate that there's never a wait.
