The Fountain - Madison

Fountain is a small new Wisconsin-Themed pub directly at the square on the state street. it is easy to miss as it has a very small footprint, but we found it generally worth a trip. ... the chicken sandwich with relish, bleu cheese sauce and speck on a roasted, baked bungalow was super messy but super dreamy. (unfortunately it is not offered for lunch, but the thun-fish melt is also good.

The Fountain Burger is hands down the best burger I 've ever had in my entire life... and I 've had a lot of burgers. Just take a look at the ingredients, everything you would want on a burger. Creaminess from the 4 year aged Hooks cheddar, crunchy texture and subtle bitterness from the heaping pile of onions, a hint of tang from the pickled tomato, then the spciy notes from the char-girlled jalapenos, and lets not forget the bacon to bring it all together. I also recommend the chicken wings; buffalo style obviously!

Best **** mary I have ever had hands down- and I am picky. They brine their own veggies, cinluding tomatoes and use the tomato brine in the mix. Completed with salamis, cheese, asparagus, dilly beans, and a big warm off the grill shrimp. TO DIE FOR! SO GOOD!

The fish fry was good, but the batter was really mushy after the fish sat for like 3 minutes. The cheesy potatoes were awesome, though.

Had a fountain burger and cheese curds, service exceeded my expectations, and the meal was delicious.
