Tornado Steak House - Madison

Had the bone in ribs. Just as ordered cooked. Good service. Beautiful selection of appetizers and salads. Very reasonable prices when considering the quality and size of steaks.

Wow, wow... boy I'm glad I stumbled in this place after some research online. One of the best steak houses I was in my travels! Prices are very reasonable... Food quality is not... I will visit this place when I come to Madison in the future very highly recommended! Escargot was delicious and the 16oz Sirloin could have told me it was so tender. I was told by locals that I should have put onions and cheese on the hash brown side... I'll do this next time, and I was told I should try the iceberg wedge... Next time sure!

Great place. Not disappointed. Steak was hot and tender (like my date). She thought it was a great meal. Mine was the 8oz file. She was the NY stripe. Our first time and would go back.

Had a nice birthday dinner here on a Monday night. Fortunately Tornado’s is open on Monday, because many other fine restaurants aren’t. The food was fantastic!!! The drinks menu is pretty good, and we enjoyed some of the house cocktails. I loved The Frankie and it! The whole food was fantastic and served HOT! We ate so much that we ran out of the restaurant. Our server Matt B ensured that we took care of a professional service. We will recommend tornados in the future.

Absolutely loved this gem straight out of the 70s with wood paneling, antlers, lumber jack saws on the wall, and likely cigar smoked stained ceilings. First thing you need to know is the portions are outrageously large so even though you want, nay, NEED everything be judicious. There will be fresh baked bread you will destroy. And a glass with crudités on skewers reeking of days longs ago. They even put the parsley on plates. LOVE IT ALL. The second thing you need to know is that you will start planning your next visit about 30seconds into reading the menu so take a sip of your cocktail and rest assured that you won’t miss out cuz your going to be back. Oh and third they don’t do online resos (yet another lovely anachronism) so actually call them well in advance.
