Center St Grill - Madisonville

Best time to go is for lunch. One of the better restaurants in town.

Excellent restaurant we discovered for Sunday dinner. Decor is great, but it is the excellent service that makes all the difference. Food was tasty and well presented, apart from the charcoal tar that no one really interested unfortunately. All the wines we tried through the glass were also excellent. Plan our return visit!

Hungry after our visit to Petworth House and lucky to spot this on our way into Petworth itself. Lovely interior, clean bathrooms and very friendly and attentive staff. The food was spectacular, we chose from the set menu and were not disappointed. Beautifully cooked and presented with decent portion sizes too. We hadn't booked in advance, but would recommend as I think we were lucky with the time we went as it was not too busy. One of the best restaurants I've been to for a long time.

Lovely venue with excellently attentive (and patient! team on hand in beautiful surroundings. Menu appears very diverse with lots of those psuedo-words that they must teach in chef college to bamboozle and impress. The food was very good indeed but not quite up to level of pricing and wines were disappointing ...but perhaps that is just my experience. Would recommend but go easy on the wine list unless cost is no question for you.

A real gem of a restaurant, really lovely inside. We were seated in the room at the back which was light and airy overlooking the patio outside. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was wonderful. We’re vegetarian so don’t always have a great experience, however we weren’t disappointed. The food was fabulous, so good we’re going back before we go home from our staycation.
