Exhausted from touring around, we just wanted a simple but delicious dinner near our hotel. This small, family-run cafe was perfect, with excellent thin-crust pizza, extensive choice of toppings and large salad with very tasty dressing, which we shared while our pizza was in the oven. Dine outside or inside.

I thought eating authentic Italian pizza is an impossible aspiration in Spain. Finally, I found a place in this country serving genuine, delicious, yummy pizza! I got a white pizza with cheese and pine nuts. It was outstanding. The best pizza I have ever had in Spain. I also tried an appetizers, made with eggplant and tomato sauce. So good! Two cons. First, the restaurant is quite small and not fancy. Second, we waited over 45 mins to get our food (although the waiter warned us about the waiting time). Affordable prices!

I enjoy jamon Iberico and chorizo as much as anyone, but after a couple of weeks in Madrid, I was eager to find some good, authentic, Neapolitan style pizza. Al Dente was the first place I found that looked interesting and smelled good, so we ventured in. Fantastic experience. It 's a cozy little cafe with a nice, comfortable feel. The menu is good, and the food is authentic Italian pizza. Prices are reasonable and the service is very good. We 've been back multiple times. Now having been in Madrid for six weeks, I can say that Al Dente is by far my favorite pizzeria, and I have tried several pizzerias in Madrid. Al Dente isn 't the cheapest pizzeria, but it is of the highest quality, and the prices are fair. I highly recommend Al Dente.
