This is a great spot for tapas in the market, especially if you love cod fish and similar fare. They feature crispy flat bread with various offerings like cod with honey and mustard, marinated mussels with peppers and my favourite, the Icelandic cod liver. Unlike the rest of the tapas bars in the market, their prices are unreal only 1 or 1.5 euros each!!! It was such a treat, I went back the next day as well.
It was a rainy day which may be why the Mercado was so busy we had to elbow our way to the stalls just to see what they were offering, much less buy anything but after I caught view of the tapas I was determined to taste everything I could, they all looked so good. We began at La Casa del Bacalao where I had Siciliana (cod) and Boquerones (cod) on toasts and my favorite Tortilla de bacalao (anchovy and peppers). Each of the tapas were delicious and inexpensive (1 euro each) so I went back for seconds. There are very few seats available in the Mercado so most of us stood at the counter and gobbled down our delicious tapas.
Small bites with a lot of creative combinations with cod as its core. They had also cod liver that was great and hard to find. The portions are small but the price is on the cheaper side of the Anton market. Probably the most interesting place from the market. It gets 4.5 stars because the value you get
Tienen variedad de pero la verdad que similar a lo que puedes encontrar en cualquier pescadería. El que había tenía buena pinta
