Contribuisci feedbackMadrid, like other cities, is full of hipster gluten free restaurants and pastry shops, but it 's all super food this or that and nauseatingly colourful cupcakes. This place however is just the gluten free version of an authentic panadería de barrio , traditional Spanish empanadas, patés, croissants, cakes, muffins. It 's all delicious. I dream of going back. You should definitely stock up there with bread and bakeries for a picnic at El Retiro, the place is right by a very connected metro line, Diego de León. PS: i found it by coincidence as my airbnb was located right next door. it 's in a residential neighbourhood you wouldn 't visit otherwise. TIP: they offer bakeries from the previous day at 50%off, that 's always a guarantee of freshness.
We went there as family to have breakfast, they have a few tables where you can seat. They had a wide variety of sweet treats, and cakes too. We enjoyed it, although we found it too sweet for our average customs. But they have some salty options like the spinach empanada Kids were able to have a juice and a cup of hot cocoa (Nesquick), we had a coffee. They are not so far away from Las Ventas (Plaza de Toros) in case anyone is doing tourism around there, 12 min walk from Ventas and close to metro station Diego de León .
