Contribuisci feedbackRestaurante casero que frecuentaba en los 80 me gusta mucho ver que sigue igual. Vivo en California pero si voy a España dentro de poco pasaré por ahí no solamente la comida sino muy buena gente Homespun restaurant just like grandma I used to go to in the 80s when I taught English in Spain. It’s nice to see that it’s the same kind of restaurant. I can’t wait to go there again when I visit Spain. Wonderful people and wonderful food.
I 've been coming to the Sanabresa for over 20 years! It is reliable home-style cooking. Always plenty of choices, with beef, pork, chicken, and fish for a main course. What I really love is that you can get a big plate of vegetables for your first course: spinach chard artichokes eggplant, etc or a bowl of lentils or a plate of paella. The desserts are also very tempting with almond cake, chocolate cake, etc, or a plate of nice fresh in season fruit. All that, plus decent wine! There 's always a line out the door waiting for a table. Just ask la ultima? to find out who 's the last in line. They serve lunch until 4:30.
We stumbled into this restaurant and the daily menu is an excellent value with 3 courses plus bread and drink is €14! We were stuffed! The waiter was very friendly and even gave me a container to take away the food that I couldn’t finish. The stew soup is actually noodle soup. The fried artichoke or vegetable are good t start. For main I ordered cod a braz which is not as good as I thought. But grilled seabass was good. Dessert : Flan and homemade pudding and cheese cake were good. Waiter gave us a bottle of wine and I also got Sangria included in the daily menu. Overall it was a good experience. Would recommend to be back
After going to more modern, crowded and hipster restaurants, this was a nice change of pace. It's an old school throwback with no frills, just a wide menu of basic Spanish dishes and traditional preparation. Place is a mix of older patrons and tourists. We enjoyed the veal stew and breaded chicken. They both came with fries but I saw one of the regulars had substituted tomatoes for fries. Would have been good to know that. For 18e, menu of the day is a good deal as it comes with appetizer, entree, dessert, bread and drink. I'm glad we came.
