First we ordered Onigiris with Shitake, which were very tasty, and gyozas, we could choose fried or damped, but it turned out that the fried option was not completely vegan (fried in the same oil that meat), so we damped, and they were ok. For main courses I ordered Curry and I liked it very and my partner ordered ramen, for me the seaweed taste was too dominant, for him it was ok, although a bit too salty. Both dishes lacked protein, it would be so easy to add something tofu. For dessert we had 2 vegan mochis: sesame and matcha coffee, they have soya and oat milk. I loved the service until the moment we got the bill without demand when two new people showed up who wanted to eat, but there were no tables available. I think it was an opportunity for the restaurant to earn more money, and although I planned to order a cocktail, we got the bill and we felt invited to leave the restaurant in an indirect way. It really spoiled the overall good impression. It may look like a detail, but I don't feel like going back. Updated by previous review on 2021-04-24 Updated by previous review on 2021-04-26
This is a great find in the Lavapies neighborhood. The proximity to the main attractions (El Prado, Museo Reina Sofia, El Retiro Park, Botanical Garden) is a big plus. We have Japanese craft beer, veggie gyoza (highly recommended), and the curry dish. Traditional Japanese curry with rice. This is a great place to eat when visiting the main attractions in Madrid.
The foods were really delicious and the owner was soooo friendlyYou even have vegan dessert!
